Privacy policy

This policy explains what ResumeAI collects when you use ResumeAI, why, and what you can do about it. We do not sell your data.

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address and profile picture from your sign-in provider.
Resume content: the resumes you write or upload, which can include contact details, work history and education. Saved resumes are stored with your account.
Published resumes: when you publish a resume, a copy (without the fields you choose to hide) is stored and shown at its public link until you unpublish it.
Plan and payment records: your plan, credit balance and payment or subscription IDs. Card, UPI and bank details go directly to Razorpay and never reach us.
Messages: what you send through the contact form or by email.
Usage data: anonymous page views and performance measurements, without advertising cookies.

Why we use it

To run the service: save your resumes, apply your plan and credits, and produce your PDFs and public pages.
To run AI features when you ask for them: the relevant resume text, job description or uploaded file is sent to our AI provider to produce the result.
To take payments and prevent fraud.
To answer support requests and to improve the product from aggregate usage.

Who processes it for us

Clerk: sign-in and account storage, including saved resumes.
Vercel: hosting, the database for credits and published resumes, and privacy-friendly analytics.
Google (Gemini API): AI processing when you use an AI feature.
Razorpay: payments.
Google Apps Script: receiving contact-form messages.

If you connect ResumeAI to an AI assistant (for example Claude) through our connector, that assistant can read and edit your resumes only after you approve it, and you can revoke access at any time.

Storage on your device

Your browser stores a few preferences (such as the open resume and print settings) and the sign-in session cookie. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account exists. Published resumes stay public until you unpublish or delete them. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.

Your choices and rights

Edit or delete any resume in the editor, and unpublish a public resume at any time.
Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data by emailing 123royalbabu@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
These rights apply under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and, where relevant, the GDPR.

Security and children

Data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to what is needed to run the service. ResumeAI is not intended for children under 16.
